Education is a key component in bringing real and lasting change in Africa. In many public schools in Africa, the students are required to pay tuition fees, registration fees and to buy their own books and uniforms every semester. The government does not provide “free education” and many parents are unable to pay the necessary fees to keep their children in school. Consequently, many children are forced to drop out of school or never attend school at all. These children sometimes end up making wrong decisions as they have very few opportunities available to them.
Because of the need to support education and help children develop into future leaders, Develop Africa has created the Promise of Hope Scholarship program. This program provides a tuition and book scholarship.
